A new panorama for the Alexis Pentcheff Gallery

A new exhibition space in Malmousque overlooking the sea

Great news for the Alexis Pentcheff Gallery! Indeed, we are preparing to move from our historical location at 131 Paradis Street to a new exhibition space located in the Anse de Malmousque, at 10 chemin du Génie.  This is an important step in the history of the Pentcheff Gallery which, after more than fourteen years in the Rue Paradis, acquires a new dimension by moving closer to the sea and settling in this new place so particular that is the Pavillon de la Reine Jeanne. This atypical and imposing building, the Reine Jeanne, has dominated the Anse de Malmousque for more than a century, having been successively a restaurant, a tea room and then a family home. Seduced by the place and its history, Alexis and Giulia Pentcheff have undertaken major renovation work to restore the building to its former glory. The Pavillon de la Reine Jeanne will soon be ready to take on its new role as an art gallery. Once installed, the works of art will face the sea inside a huge belvedere overlooking the cove; what better place to welcome the painters of the Mediterranean?

We are looking forward to welcoming you in this new setting from October 3rd for a new exhibition of which we will soon reveal the details.

A larger undertaking to bring together all the activities of the Pentcheff Gallery

This move will complete that of our bookshop, also previously located at 131 rue Paradis, which has already moved to the Malmousque area last September. Located at 2 rue du Général Carteaux, our bookstore Le Puits aux Livres, will no longer be alone in Malmousque.

Our framing workshops have also joined the 7th district, at 6 rue Crinas prolonged, and benefit in turn from a totally autonomous place entirely dedicated to their framing activity. Restoration professionals: gilder, furniture upholsterer, paper restorer, painting restorer... have joined us in order to offer their expertise and services to professionals as well as to individuals.

All the activities of the Alexis Pentcheff Gallery: purchase and sale of paintings, exceptional framing and art bookstore, will thus be united in the 7th district of Marseille, facing the Mediterranean.
